Safety and Operations

Download and read the Safety and Operations Manual here.
View the Level 1 Test here.

  • ALL Guests MUST sign a club waiver. Extra copies are in the storage box for your convenience
  • If you're wondering how to get a key for unaccompanied access, you must first pass a Level 1 certification after completing your required hours of supervised rowing. If you are not a confident swimmer, you must pass a swim test. Our staff will help arrange a swim test at a local pool.
  • A sign-out log is posted in the black storage box. Please use it when going out on the water in any boat, regardless of experience level. This will allow us to track boat usage and, more importantly, locate crews quickly in the event of an emergency.

Think we've got boat traffic to deal with? Not like some other clubs!

Did you miss the Organizational Meeting but still interested in helping out? Sign up for one of the committees below to get involved and help us build this club! Click here for a description of initial roles and responsibilities.

Committees:

Supervised Rows

Supervised rowing is available nearly every day of the week with prior coordination. If you are a new member who is still becoming familiar with the hazards and rules of the river and who has hours left to complete before earning Level 1 certification, please contact one of our experienced members for access and help with equipment. Life vests are available for your use at any time. We encourage all members to use the buddy system - not just novices!

Coaching

Grab some friends and throw a boat together! Private lessons are available by appointment and our members receive a discounted rate. We also have experienced members available to supervise during morning hours (6:30-7:30 am) and to help with equipment, tips or other questions. If you do not desire lessons but would still like an extra safety measure, you are welcome to get on the water concurrently with a scheduled LTR class in order to have a coaching launch and safety equipment nearby.

Equipment

All: Thank you for your help with rinsing the equipment with fresh water after use. This will help us keep our boats in top shape for years to come.

Members are asked to schedule equipment usage in advance in order to minimize conflicts. Consult your membership directory for the username and login info for the interactive calendar below. Postings should include at a minimum: Boat requested, quantity of oar sets required, User, and Time. Please make an effort  to limit your time on the water to 2 hours.
