Become a Member As an active member, whether you're a competitive or recreational rower, you are part of the NPBRC team. Active Members receive access to club facilities, equipment and coaches and are covered under the club's insurance through USRowing. Our active members may compete in regattas across the country under the NPBRC banner and enjoy many other benefits. Contact us with your questions or drop by our location to meet our team.
We offer a range of membership options, to include Annual, 6 month, Quarterly, or 30-day rates. We also offer an annual Youth membership and a per-semester Collegiate membership for active students.
You'll notice several different rates for Annual and 6-month memberships. ($350 vs $250, etc.). We offer two types of boats for our members' use: "Recreational" shells and "Team" (or "racing") shells. Our Recreational boats are sturdy, stable single and double dories or wider, highly durable training shells. Rec boats are ideal for folks who do not wish to race but would like to enjoy the waterway at their own pace or get on the water by themselves. Our "team" boats, on the other hand, are built for speed and competition and include racing pairs/doubles, fours, and eights. If you would like to train for races or participate as part of a larger 4 or 8-man crew, the "team" option is ideal.
We've designed the reduced rate for members who know that they only intend to use "Rec" or "Team" boats. In other words, we give our members the option to pay only for the services and equipment they use. However, if you'd like the widest use of our available boats at any time or are uncertain which types of boats you will prefer, we recommend that you choose the "full access" option.

*For safety and security reasons, 30-day trial members must be accompanied by an experienced club member when using our equipment. Contact us to coordinate a time to get on the water.
**Membership does not include coaching or competition. Please contact us for rates for our coached (competitive) youth and collegiate programs.
Other membership options:($125 for one year of access) Still not sure what membership option is right for you? The hourly membership allows you to use any equipment at an hourly rate of $10 per hour. If you plan to row infrequently, this may be one cost-effective option. Your first 5 hours are free. ($25) receive a subscription to our club Newsletter and some great club logo items. Supporting members do not have access to boats but are able to participate in all special events, team socials, and other activities. |
